NOVEMBER 15TH – INDIE AUTHOR EVENT! I have been invited to present The King’s Frog Hunter at the fabulous HICKLEBEES, CHILDREN’S BOOK STORE, 1378 Lincoln Ave., San Jose, CA (in the Willow Glen neighborhood) on Sunday, beginning at 1:00 PM. Be sure to arrive early as seating is limited! HICKLEBEES is a premiere bookstore, set in the downtown district of a beautiful community. I am honored to participate in this event.

OCTOBER 15th – Paradise County Library, Clark Road, Celebrating California Writer’s Month. Thursday night, 6:00 – 7:30. Come to hear me, along with three other authors, read from our works and sign your book!

Three month break from presentations to begin the research and writing on the first sequel to The King’s Frog Hunter. Thirteen chapters have been completed, so this work is half-way completed!
Also, research and profile sketches have started on another work. The working title for this book is ANNADALE FADING: A Memoir of My Mother.

JUNE 3RD – Presentation for 5th grade classes at McManus Elementary School, Chico Unified School District, CA.
JUNE 2ND – Presentation at Achieve Charter School, Paradise, CA. This is so cool, because after reading sections about Bubo, I have arranged for the Butte County’s Raptor Rehabilitator, Marilyn Gamette, to surprise the students with a guest appearance of Checkers, a Great Horned Owl.

JANUARY 24TH (Saturday): For the annual Snow Goose Festival, I will be at the Masonic Center, Chico, selling and signing books at the Lyon Book Store table with Heather Lyon, from 9AM to 12:00PM. It is amazing where the animal characters in The King’s Frog Hunter take me!

DECEMBER 13th and 14 (Saturday and Sunday): at the Chico Mall: Nine local authors joined together for a total of 16 hours to sell books under the name Write-On Giving. A percentage of net profits per book was donated to each author’s chosen local charity.
The charity we selected was Citrus Elementary School’s Adopt-A-School Fund. Twenty per cent of net profits from the event were donated to this fund, plus additional contributions made on these two days by shoppers.

DECEMBER 7th, Sunday: HOLIDAY AUTHOR OPEN HOUSE, at LYON BOOK STORE. This festive event is a book-signing Open House, featuring many authors. Lyon Books will feature the books of these authors, have refreshments, door prizes and awards, and mingling. This is an opportunity for you to purchase books AUTOGRAPHED by the authors being featured; and Yes! Ken Young will be one of the Guest Authors in attendance!
SOLD OUT! Thanks to you wonderful supporters, we have unexpectedly and completely sold ALL copies from our first round of printing. The second printing has been shipped and is expected to arrive at North Point Publishing by December 3rd. As soon as this shipment arrives, a supply will be delivered to LYON BOOK STORE – December 4th is the anticipated date for books to be back on the shelves at Lyon Books! OCTOBER 24th: A stack of my books are delivered to one of our readers: Kayla participated as one of our early test readers. Falling in love with the family of The King’s Frog Hunter, Miss Kayla made our book the theme of her birthday party, ordering copies of our book for the party favors for her guests. How cool is that?
OCTOBER 21st: The first copies of The King’s Frog Hunter land on the shelves at Lyon Books!
OCTOBER 20th: The first official book order arrives!
